Back To Basics - Makeup Edition

Hello there, lovelies! In this post I've decided to briefly talk about a few must-have makeup products that I believe are a base for a good makeup look, these items which allow us to enhance our most important facial features - our mesmerizing eyes and luscious lips.

Despite makeup being one of my greatest loves, my everyday makeup look doesn't include a fancy eyeshadow scheme or a bold lipstick. Usually you will find me wearing a couple of basic eye products, a tinted lip balm and a light foundation, if any at all. On days I need to wear a fancier makeup for evening or a event, I still reach for some basic makeup products like neutral eye shadows that will compliment my eyes and a classic red lipstick that you can't really go wrong with. So if you are anything like me and you like the good old "basic" makeup style, I think you'd have fun exploring these recent discoveries with me, which seem to be just perfect for this mission.

למרות שאיפור הוא אחת האהבות הגדולות שלי, ביום יום לא תמצאו אותי מאופרת בשלל צלליות ושפתון נועז, והאיפור שלי לרוב יסתכם במספר מוצרי עיניים הכרחיים, שפתון לחות עם גוון ובסיס קליל, אם בכלל. גם כאשר אני משקיעה באיפור יותר מורכב לערב או ארוע, אני עדיין נוטה לבחור במוצרים בסיסיים כמו צלליות בגוונים טבעיים שיחמיאו לעיניים ושפתיים אדומות קלאסיות שלא משאירות הרבה מקום לטעויות. אם אתן כמוני ונוטות לבחור את המראה ה"בסיסי" אך מוצלח הזה, אני חושבת שתהנו לגלות יחד איתי כמה מוצרים מוצלחים שהגיעו אלי לאחרונה ועוזרים לי בהשגת המטרה הזו בדיוק.

Although a nude lipstick might seem like a natural pick for a "basic" kind of makeup look, I chose to pair a red lipstick with this look. I think there's something about red lips that amps up every makeup look, even the most simple one. The two shades I got to try from this range are PUPA I'm Lipstick 108 - Sunny Cream*, a nude shade with an orange undertone that I think will be a lovely nude for tanned or darker skin, and PUPA I'm Lipstick 307 - Luxurious Red* which is indeed a luxurious, perfect red shade.

These lipsticks have a very moisturizing feeling and soft texture, and even a pretty impressive stain power for the dark colors like the red one I tried. The formula is nicely pigmented, allows to build up the color intensity.

PUPA's I'm Lipstick range is currently available at Super Pharm for 59 ILS (full price 120 ILS) along with a large variety of great makeup products, such as PUPA Vamp! Mascara which I've raved about on the blog before, and I think this is another great basic product that with excellent performance and low price, and easily compares to some great high street mascaras I've tried before.

For the eye makeup I chose GADE Basics Eyeshadow Pellete #2 Pearls* which has some nice neutral and soft shades. This pallete includes six shimmery eye shadows with a range of soft shades like white, nude and pink, and two dark and intense shades like a coppery brown and a dark blueish-gray. This color range allows to create a fresh natural everyday look or a darker smokey look, glamorous or evening appropriate.

I've been familiar with GADE's eyeshadow range for quite some time now; in my collection I have quite a few of their eye products which I'm really enjoying, yet each time I use them I'm impressed with how pigmented, soft and buttery they are. I'm sure I'm not the only Israeli blogger to compare these with the Urban Decay Naked palletes, and tough some might not completely agree with me, I would say these give a good fight to the Naked palletes.

Among the shades in the GADE Pearls pallette I've grown fond of the gold and rose shimmery shades, and as they are all easy to apply and blend, I can effortlessly create a nice and quick everyday look with lovely shades that flatter my skin tone and eyes.

את הצלליות המעולות של ג'ייד אני כבר מכירה היטב היות וברשותי מספר פלטות צלליות מהמותג, ובכל פעם שאני שולפת אחת מהן אני לא מפסיקה להתפעל מכמה שהן חמאתיות, רכות ופיגמנטיות. אני בטוחה שאני לא הבלוגרית המקומית היחידה שכבר הספיקה להשוות אותן לצלליות הכה מדוברות של חברת Urban Decay מסדרת הפלטות Naked, ואולי יש כאן מישהי שלא תסכים איתי במאה אחוז, אבל אני לגמרי חושבת שהן נותנות פייט רציני לצלליות ה-Naked.

מבין כל הצלליות שבפלטה, שתיים התחבבו עלי במיוחד - האחת בגוון זהוב (שלישית משמאל) והשניה בגוון ורדרד (השמאלית ביותר), שתיהן בעלות גימור מטאלי ומבריק יותר מהשאר, הן נוחות להנחה וטשטוש מהיר ומאפשרות ליצור מראה קליל ויפה ליום יום בגוונים מאוד מחמיאים.

For this post the nails also get a clean and simple look, and it seems that ANNY have just the right product for it. For this post let's put a side all the colorful range of nail polish that ANNY offer, and take a moment to concentrate on their nail care and treatment range; The No More Yellow Nude* base was born to give our nails a clean and groomed look for days when we don't have that extra time for a proper manicure.
