TATCHA Japanese Beauty & Skincare

October 16, 2014

TATCHA is a luxury beauty and skincare collection inspired by Japan's geisha's time-tested beauty rituals. Founded by Victoria Tsai to share the geisha's wisdom with modern women everywhere, and to further the belief that true beauty begins with the heart and the mind.
Although the brand is based in San Francisco, TACHA's products are actually made in Japan; using only the best ingredients, formulated and packaged in Japan, the world leader in excellence and craftsmanship.
The beautifully designed packaging of TATCHA's products hold within clean and gentle formulas with the importance of safe ingredients to the skin that aim to enhance skin's natural beauty, promote nourishing hydration and reduce the signs of aging

It was hard for me to ignore this new brand that many beauty bloggers have been raving about, and I was so lucky to get a chance to try some of TATCHA's wonderful products, so in today's post I'm happy to share my impressions with you!

I was sent this little beauty kit from TATCHA, and I just couldn't resist these adorable little packaging. The kit contained some of TATCHA's bestselling items, and this was all I needed to realize that I'm going to fall in love with this brand. Clean and beautifully designed products and just right up my alley, and if they are as excellent as these, then that's all I'm really looking for in a luxury beauty product.

A light and rich beauty oil for face, hair and body. Infused Licorice Root Extract gently calms skin, while young Bamboo and Green Tea fragrances offer transport to a Kyoto countryside.
Camellia Oil and Squalane nourish skin and seal in moisture, while 24-karat gold flake gives skin a sensual glow. Ideal for all skin types.

This product was probably the one I was most excited about. I'm quite obsessed over multi-purpose oils at the moment, but I haven't tried anything as light yet nourishing as this Camelia Beauty Oil.
This wonderful oil has a light and fresh fragrance to it, and a super light oily texture which is a pleasure to apply. The 24-karat gold flakes are adding a luxurious feel to an already wonderful product, making it in to one of the best and most favorite facial oils I've tried so far.
Being such a mini luxury product, I'm totally saving it to use only on my face, while I do think it's a great multi-purpose product that will suit all skin types and add that extra moisture to your face, skin and hair.

About the INDIGO beauty range
Rich in anti-inflammatory Indigo, liquid Silk and Squalane, TATCHA's INDIGO Soothing Silk Body Butter softens and soothes irritated skin.
The stems, leaves and petals of the Indigo plant are steeped in water and fermented to make a concentrated botanical extract. Tryptanthrin and indirubin actives help reduce irritation and promote skin's natural healing abilities. The natural blue hue disappears upon application.
Suitable for any skin type, especially sensitive, inflamed or irritated skin consistent with symptoms of dermatitis, eczema and rosacea.

The pleasant and relaxing scent of the INDIGO body butter was about the first thing I've noticed (well, after it's surprisingly blue-ish color) when opening this little jar. I've been really enjoying it's light texture and how the blue tinted cream is melting into my skin, leaving it feeling fresh, supple and hydrated. Lucky for me I didn't experienced much irritations with my skin lately, but I admit that the wonderful scent of this cream is so calming and soothing on it's own, which is a sort of a therapy already.

Much like the Soothing Silk Body Butter, the Soothing Silk Hand Cream has the same features and that same amazingly calming scent. I didn't find much differences between the two products formula, altough the Soothing Silk Hand Cream felt a tiny bit thicker and richer.
This time I could notice that the INDIGO soothing formula was great for my hands which tend to get dry and flaky in some areas, and it even helped calm irritations and little cuts on my hands, so this cream definitely helped me with these problems.

All-natural leaflet blotting sheets which absorb excess oil without disturbing makeup for petal fresh skin anytime, anywhere.
Will not steal moisture from the skin or disturb makeup. Powder-free, Fragrance-free, Pulp-free,  For all skin types.
Contains 100% Abaca Leaf, Gold Flakes.

I have to admit that this is actually my first try with blotting papers, and let me tell you - I'm hooked!
Now I can't even imagine how I managed to get by without this wonderful product.
These blotting papers are an excellent way to touch up my makeup without adding any powder or other products to my face. It only removes the excess oils, leaving my makeup in tact and feeling refreshed. These are also great to use before makeup application, to absorb any excess cream and moisture and help the foundation to stay longer. And as if this wasn't enough to make a great beauty essential, the gold flakes in these sheets are a luxurious touch.
I love having this pretty little package in my handbag for a quick freshen up on the go!
