Lavido Green Aid & The Salve That Saved Me
October 26, 2014
After trying Lavido's skincare range a couple months ago (see my previous review here), I was completely hooked on their products and was very curious to see what else they have to offer.
Lavido were so kind to send me a few more of their products to try and I can't tell you how grateful I was, especially when I realized that one of these products totally saved my skin from a major
irritation I was suffering from for a while. I'm finally starting to
realize that organic skincare is very kind to my sensitive skin and I'm
gradually incorporating more of it in my daily skincare routines.
If
you would have asked me a year ago what I think of natural organic
products, I would probably say that the herbal scent is too strong for
my nose, that they are a bit expensive, and that basically I prefer to
stick to a cheaper drugstore versions... Well, now my opinion has completely changed! Keep on reading to find out why.

Black Seeds, Tea Tree & Lavender Salve
GREEN AID THERAPEUTIC SALVE / 89.90 ILS / ~$24
GREEN AID THERAPEUTIC SALVE / 89.90 ILS / ~$24
Relief for aggravated dry skin. The Shea Butter deeply nourishes the skin, combined with an effective black seed and tea tree oils, and the calming effect of the lavender oil. Suitable for all skin types, for local application on irritated areas (Treats redness, dry skin, insect bites, Seborrhea, Psoriasis and more). [60ml]
Apparently my skin can get very sensitive to various things, and even the most common thing like mosquito bites leaves my skin swollen, itchy and irritated for days. I was curious to see how this salve can help me with this problem, and I was surprised that it actually works! The salve soothes and calms the area and within a couple minutes I can completely forget about these irritating mosquito bites. The calming effect lasts for a few good hours, and then I just reapply it again whenever needed.
Unfortunately mosquito bites weren't the only problem coming my way. Among many things, my skin is also sensitive to cheap metals like alloy and brass (which cheap rings are made of, and sometimes these metals are used as base for gold and silver plating), and whenever I wear these large cheap rings and wash my hands while wearing them, I get this annoying irritation in between my fingers. Now, usually, this is something that goes away on it's own within a day or two, but this time it developed into a bad rash and flakiness. I've tried many different hand creams, but nothing seemed to help, until I tried this salve. At first I wasn't sure it's working either, but a few days later I saw an improvement and I kept on using this. I had this nasty rash / flakiness / itch for three weeks, and after just a week of using the Green Aid salve, it's almost completely gone! This salve was a true life saver for me and I would totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. I think it's one of these must have products that can help with so many problems. I've also recommended it to a family member who's been suffering from a severe Psoriasis for years now, I truly believe this could is something that could help and ease this condition.
Desert Yarrow, Myrtle and Tea Tree
GREEN AID FOOT CREAM / 65.90 ILS / ~$18
Formulated from rich moisturizing oils (such as Avocado, Olive, Jojoba, Sweet almond, Tea Tree and more), this foot cream combines the therapeutic features of the Desert Yarrow plant and Myrtle oil, which makes it into a natural pampering green aid. [120ml]
A good foot cream is one of my bed time must-have essentials, especially in the season transition time. The Green Aid foot cream has a thick and rich consistency and requires a good rub in. I would say that it certainly has a strong herbal scent that some might find hard to bare, but to be honest this isn't that bad once you apply it and put a pair of socks on. I would probably mind the scent if that was a hand cream, but since it's such a great nourishing and hydrating cream, it's not that bad.
I love it's thick formula and how it slowly melts into the skin while I massage my feet. At morning I feel that my feet are super soft and pampered, and I love knowing that it contains many natural oils that are good for my skin. The tube contains a generous amount of product (120ml) and will last for a long time and many pampering uses, so that's another thing to love about this product.

Lavido's products were a nice surprise for me that I didn't expect to love that much. Now that I'm looking into replacing some of my basic skincare products with natural and organic alternatives, I'll be certainly checking more of Lavido's products, and if you are looking to do the same - I would highly recommend this brand.
The products I've reviewed in this post are not yet available in Lavido's American line, although you can find many other great products from the brand on their site. And on a personal note, if anyone here suffers from the same problem I did and ever needs help with getting these particular products, feel free to email me and I'll be glad to give a hand and try to arrange something!
I really hope you found the information in this post helpful, and if you are curious about Lavido's products or have any questions, please let me know in the comments below.
