Penelope Luz - L'Amour
September 05, 2014
Hello ladies! Today I have an adorable manicure to share with you, featuring a gorgeous confetti top coat from Penelope Luz. This amazing confetti topper is called L'Amour, and I think it's pretty clear how it got it's well deserved name.
Keep reading to find out more about this beautiful nail polish and how I used it for today's manicure.
Penelope Luz probably creates the most fabulous and interesting glitter nail polishes, and this amazing confetti topper called L'Amour is no exception. This love potion in a bottle consists of an interesting black and white glitter mix, along with these cute red metallic hearts.
I felt like this glitter mix will look best over a nude base, so I picked one of my favorite nudes, Barry M Lychee - which gives a nice neutral background to this confetti.
While taking the photos with a glossy top coat, I didn't really like how the glossy finish looked in them, so I decided to try a matte top coat instead - and I think it was a wise choice!
OPI's (amazing!) Matte Top Coat helped to smooth out the surface and created a uniform finish, plus the matte finish looked amazing with this glitter, almost like a real painting on paper.
I don't know if it was the magic of the L'Amour confetti or something else, but I just fell in love with this manicure! I adore how these kind of confetti toppers make your nails look like a work of art, while in fact it is so quick and easy to achieve with a single swipe of a brush.
I hope you enjoyed this manicure and liked this awesome nail polish from Penelope Luz. Let me know if you ever tried her nail polish, and if not - I hope you will want to give it a try now! Thanks for reading, I wish you all a fabulous weekend!
