GA-DE Gold Sugar

This week I got the chance to review one of the colors from the new Crystallic Matte Nail Color collection from the Israeli brand GA-DE. This textured collection is a the latest addition to the brand's range of colors, the effect is very similar to the well known Liquid Sand by OPI.
As you probably already noticed, the Liquid Sand / Crystal / Sugar effect is one of the hottest trends, and I previously tried these polishes by various brands such as OPI, Zoya, Dance Legend, and even the Israeli brand Chic which released a similar collection a while ago.
Despite the fact that there's not much innovation in this, it's still exciting for me to see that the Israeli brands are keeping up with the rest of the word and launching new trendy collections.

השבוע הגיע לידיי אחד הלקים מהקולקציה החדשה של חברת ג'ייד - Crystallic Matte Nail Color, מדובר בקולקציה בעלת גימור קריסטלי, בדומה לאפקט החול הנוזלי המפורסם של חברת OPI. טרנד הטקסטורה כבר כבש את העולם בתקופה האחרונה, וכבר הספקתי לנסות לקים בגימור דומה מחברות עולמיות שונות כמו OPI, Zoya, Dance Legend, ואפילו Chic הישראלית שהוציאה ליין דומה לא מזמן. למרות שלא מדובר כאן בחידוש מהפכני, תמיד מרגש אותי לגלות שגם חברות בארץ עומדות בקצב הטרנדים החמים בעולם, ומוציאות קולקציות חדשות ועדכניות.

GA-DE Gold Sugar has an impressive gold sand effect. This polish consists of gold micro glitter that dries to a gritty finish with a crystal-like look. The formula was pretty dense, which allowed to achieve a relatively good coverage with one coat, although I proffered to use two coats for a perfect coverage. Drying time was quite fast, instructions recommend to wait about five minutes to let it completely dry into the crystal finish.
I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much from this polish, since I have tried several brands with this effect, but I was surprised with how great it looked on the nails. I think it did a great job and gives the nails a luxurious look without an effort.

GA-DE Gold Sugar הוא לק זהוב בעל גימור קריסטלי / חולי מרשים במיוחד. הלק מורכב ממיקרו קריסטלים זהובים ונצנצים כסופים קטנטנים, ולאחר הייבוש מתקבלת טקסטורה מחוספסת דמוי קריסטלים קטנטנים. הלק היה בעל צפיפות די טובה, לכן אפשר להסתפק בהנחת שכבה אחת בלבד, אך אני העדפתי להניח שתי שכבות לקבלת כיסוי מלא לחלוטין.

זמן הייבוש היה די מהיר, לדברי החברה ממליצים להמתין כחמש דקות עד לייבוש מלא והתגבשות הטקסטורה. יש לקחת בחשבון שלקים בגימור זה הם מחוספסים ובעלי תחושה מאוד ספציפית, שאני אישית עדיין לא החלטתי אם אני אוהבת אותה או לא, כך שאם אתן אוהבות שהלק שלכן יהיה מבריק וחלק, הלק הזה עשוי להוות בעיה. לדעתי הוא שווה את הנסיון, כי בכל זאת המראה שלו מרשים למדי.

אני חייבת לציין שלא ציפיתי ליותר מדי מהלק הזה, כי כאמור ראיתי והתנסתי בהרבה לקים בעלי טקסטורה דומה, אבל דווקא הופתעתי לטובה וחיבבתי אותו. לדעתי הלק הזה מצליח להעניק לציפורניים מראה יוקרתי בלי הרבה מאמץ.

Going through my collection, it was easy to notice that GA-DE Gold Sugar is very similar to
OPI Honey Ryder, so I decided to compare these two side by side. I took some closeup photos, but the differences don't translate very well to the photos, and they are a bit more noticeable in real life.

כשהצצתי באוסף שלי, ראיתי שהלק GA-DE Gold Sugar מאוד דומה ללק OPI Honey Ryder, והחלטתי לערוך ביניהם השוואה, הרי ששניהם בעלי גוון וטקסטורה דומה. צילמתי כמה תמונות של שני הלקים זה לצד זה, אמנם התמונות לא מצליחות להעביר את ההבדלים בין שני הלקים כפי שניתן לראות אותם במציאות.

I have noticed that there a few differences, first is that OPI's shade is a bit warmer and more yellow tones, and the formula is thicker than GA-DE's, which makes OPI a one-coater while GA-DE requires two coats.

GA-DE's polish consists of micro glitter and some small hex glitter, and while it seems at first look that OPI's polish consists of micro glitter alone, at a closer look I have noticed that it also contains a tiny glitter, much smaller than GA-DE's, and barely noticeable.

I came to a conclusion that despite the minor differences, these two colors are very much alike, and that GA-DE Gold Sugar is a pretty close to be a dupe of OPI Honey Ryder.

הבחנתי בכמה הבדלים בין הלקים, העיקרי ביניהם הוא שהגוון של OPI מעט חם וצהוב יותר, והלק עצמו בעל צפיפות גבוהה יותר שמאפשרת להגיע לכיסוי מושלם בשכבה אחת בלבד, בעוד שעם הלק של ג'ייד הזדקקתי לשתי שכבות.
הלק של ג'ייד מכיל מיקרו גליטר ובנוסף נצנצים משושים קטנטנים, בעוד שנראה שהלק של OPI מורכב כולו ממיקרו גליטר בלבד, אך במבט מקרוב (מאוד) ניתן להבחין בגליטר פצפון שכמעט בלתי נראה לעין, שכמעט פספסתי במבט ראשון.
המסקנה שלי היא שההבדלים בין שני הגוונים די מינוריים, ואני חושבת שהלק של ג'ייד מהווה מתחרה ראוי ללק של OPI, כך שאם אתן מחפשות אלטרנטיבה זמינה וזולה יותר, הלק של ג'ייד יכול להיות בדיוק מה שאתן מחפשות.
