Today I attended the OPI San Francisco collection launch event at Ramat Aviv Mall, also celebrating the launch of the Israeli site for OPI. I was happy to be a part of this event, where we were spoiled with a manicure with OPI's polish of out choice, a delicious Brunch and a fun gift-bag which I will tell you all about it later.

The new collection includes 15 colors for autumn and winter, both warm and cold colors that will look great on your nails and help you to stay trendy in the next season. 

The collection includes various colors, and it was easy for me to pick my favorite colors such as Peace & Love & OPI, Muir Muir On The Wall and In The Cable Car-Pool Lane.

Hello lovely ladies!
Today I have another post for you featuring a design from my new Nailz Craze NC06 Tattoo plate.
I know many of you were curious about the sugar skull design, so I decided to create this colorful manicure for you to see this image in action.
I wanted to create something bright and fun, so I did a neon sugar skull mani, and this is how I've created it:

I applied two coats of my favorite light base - Lime Crime - Milky Ways to all my nails, and then I applied one coat of Out The Door - Northern Lights, just to add a little holo sparkle to it.
I picked the beautiful Lush Lacquer - Clowning Around as the colorful inspiration for this design, and applied one coat of it to the nails, leaving the ring finger and thumb blank for the stamping.

For the For the sugar skull designs I used the Nailz Craze NC06 Tattoo plate, and picked a few neon colors for the stamping: 

China Glaze - Hanging In The Balance

China Glaze - That's Shore Bright

Etude House - Scandalous Pink

Barry M - Key Lime

Lucky for me, these colors worked pretty good for the stamping, even though they are not meant for this job, and some of them were not as thick as stamping polishes are. I personally don't rush to buy special stamping polish, I prefer to experiment with the colors I already have, and actually the only stamping polishes I own are black and white from Konad, because it was hard for me to find these colors from other brands that will stamp well.

The image of the skull transferred really good, so I was very pleased with these polishes as with the design.

I applied one coat of Poshe Top Coat to seal the design and smooth the surface of the glitter.

The final look came out very fun and colorful, I love the neon colors of this mani and I'm so happy with how the sugar skull image came out.

So I made a quick tutorial for you girls to explain how I did the rose decal from my previous Tattoo inspired design.

Hope this will help you to understand how this method works, and if you still have questions after reading this tutorial, please feel free to ask!

Here we go :)

What you will need to create a stamping decal:

Rubber stamper + scraper

Stamping polish

Nail polish in colors of your choice

Fine nail art brush or toothpicks

Tweezers or a needle

Clear nail polish

Step 1

Pick a stamping plate with your desired design. Note that if you want to create a colorful decal, you should use a design that has lines that can be filled, like the rose outline for instance.

The plate I used for this is Nailz Craze NC06 Tattoo plate.

Step 2

Transfer the design to a rubber stamper with a stamping polish.

Let the nail polish dry a bit before moving on to the next step. 

You can blow on it or wait about a minute.

The polish I used for stamping is Konad Black.

Step 3

With a fine nail art brush, fill the inner lines of the leaves with a green polish. 

The polish I used is Barry M Watermelon.

Step 4

Repeat step 3 with the rose itself, this time painting the inner part of the rose with a red nail polish. For larger areas you can use the brush of the nail polish itself, and then fill the delicate areas with the fine nail art brush or a toothpick with small dabbing motions.

The polish I used is Barry M Pomegranate.

Step 5

Wait for the nail polish on the stamper to dry completely, then apply a clear nail polish.

After that, wait a couple of minutes for the decal to dry on the stamper.

I used Poshe Top Coat for this step but any clear nail polish will do the job.

Step 6

Lift the decal from the rubber stamper. You can use tweezers or needle to pick the corner of the nail polish decal, then it will lift easily. 

Note that this is a very delicate decal, so be careful when handling it.

Step 7

Your decal is ready for use!

You will notice that it has a bit magnified finish, because it dried on the rubber surface.

When placing the decal on the nail, you want your nail polish (on the nails) to be a bit tacky (a bit sticky, if you touch it with your fingertips it will leave a finger print on it). Place the decal onto the nail, smooth it with your finger or a q tip, and apply a top coat once you are done.

Today I have a special post for you, introducing a design made with one of my new Nailz Craze stamping plates. This is the new Nailz Craze NC06 Tattoo plate, with various tattoos designs.

For this post I made a vintage style tattoo inspired design, featuring the LOVE letters and the rose from the NC06 plate.

I know that a lot of you are very curious to see the new plates in action, so I will do my best to create and post several manicures with the plates so you can get a better idea of how the images will look on the nails.

For this designs I started with a light beige base - Barry M Lychee, one of the new Gelly Hi-Shine polishes which I absolutely adore. As most of the polishes from this collection, it had a great and opaque creamy formula, super shiny finish and quick dry time.

To create the half moons at the cuticles base, I used French manicure tips stickers and applied Barry M Pomegranate, which is a rich creamy red. 

To stamp the LOVE letters I used Konad's Black and the Nailz Craze NC06 plate.

To create the rose I used the stamping decal method, which I will explain in my next post. It's a simple technique in which you transfer the image from the plate to the stamper, and then paint the inner part before transferring it to the nail.

The colors I used for the rose were Barry M Pomegranate and Barry M Watermelon.

Once I was done with the design, I sealed it with my favorite to coat - Poshe.

I was very pleased with this design, it's always exciting for me to use the plates I create for the first time and see my ideas for manicures get executed. This finished design was even prettier than I inagined it to be, so I hope you will like it too.

Today I have a delicious swatch for you to start this lovely summery weekend.
Zoya Destiny from the PixieDust Summer 2013 collection, is a bright orange (or coral) shade with golden shimmer. The PixieDust collection includes textured polishes with a gritty finish, which makes them really sparkly and pretty in the sun.
The formula was quite good, pretty thick but I didn't have any problems with the application. I applied two coats, no top coat. It look a bit longer to dry than normal creme or jelly formulas, but it wasn't that bad.
I'm still not sure how I feel about textured polishes, I love how they look on the nails, but it always feels weird to touch. Sometimes the texture makes me shiver lol. Still, taking this fact in mind, I really wanted to try the polishes from the PixieDust collection because they look so gorgeous on the nails!

I think most of you already familiar with the Essie's Summer 2013 collection, but just in case you haven't seen it yet, I want to share with you some pics I took of my favorite colors from this collection.
One of my nail polish buddies over seas surprised me with a package including these pretties, I was so happy to get these colors which I absolutely loved from first sight.

The collection includes 6 colors, I only got 4 of them, but I feel like I got the prettiest colors of this collection.
Here are the colors from Right to Left: The Girls Are Out, Bikini So Teeny (or Rock The Boat?), Sunday Funday and The More The Merrier.

Bikini So Teeny (or Rock The Boat?) - Sky blue shade with subtle silver shimmer
[I've read before that Rock The Boat is very similiar to Bikini So Teeny from last summer's collection, it's a bit lighter and more shimmery than BST. When I got this color I had a feeling that the label and the content of the bottle were misplaced, so I borrowed Bikini So Teeny from a friend to compare the two, and it actually confirmed my assumption, so I'm going to swatch them both to show you the comparison. Bottom line is, I think I have Rock The Boat with the wrong label :)]

Sunday Funday - Bright coral with silver shimmer

The More The Merrier - Bright lime green creme

These colors are so bright and fun, I can't wait to wear them and show you the swatches. The shimmer is hard to notice in the bottles, but it's so pretty and makes the colors pop. 

The formula is somewhat between a creme and a jelly, I think most of them will have good coverage with only two coats, but I will have to test this and let you know.

Today I have another nature inspired post for you ladies, this time with some pretty pink flowers.
To create this designs I used a few flowers designs from a stamping plate and a gradient stamping technique, which I will explain below.

To start this design I applied two coats of Lime Crime Milky Ways, a delicate vanilla shade, one of my favorite polishes which I used over six times that I can recall.
For the stamping I used 3 different designs from a Born Pretty Store stamping plate QA61 (item #6459).
The quality of the stamping plate is really good, and the designs are quite large so they even covered my nails entirely (except for the thumb, no complaints about this since there are only a few brands which I can get a full coverage with). I'm always looking for nice flowers designs in stamping plates, and these designs were pretty to my eyes.

To create the gradient stamping effect I chose to work with three colors; GA-DE Rodeo Drive (red), Barry M Grapefruit (pink) and Life 304 (peachy orange). I applied one drop of each color at the outer line of the design on the plate, and scraped it a couple of times so the colors blend into the gradient look. Believe me, it's much easier than it sounds, just try this and if you need any help you can check youtube for some great tutorials. So yeah, it's that easy!
I sealed the design with one coat of my favorite Poshe top coat, and there you have another lovely flowers design, super easy to execute and looks great.
