Nfu Oh 51 & Golden Crown Nail Art

In today's post I'm going to share with you my manicure from the past week, featuring the fabulous Nfu Oh 51 which was my top lemming for a long time. I remember thinking this was such a fabulous polish from the beginning of my polish obsession, and I just knew I have to have it!
I bought it quite a long time ago, it was also a bit pricy, I think my most expensive polish in the collection (I paid about $20+ for it including shipping, I got it from the Israeli distributor site).
I don't know why it took me so long to make a manicure with it and post in on the blog (well, again, I have so many new polishes I always want to try but I don't have enough hands for that). Of course I swatches it right away with different base colors, trying to find the perfect combo (as this polish is a bit sheer on it's own) but I never did a proper mani until this week.
So here it is, the fabulous Nfu Oh 51 from the opal collection, layered over Barry M Plum. I applied only one coat of each to get this look. It was really hard to catch the beauty of it on camera.

Nfu Oh 51 is so gorgeous, it's a purple jelly with fabulous flakes that shift from red to orange, green and blue. It's really beautiful in person, even more that in photos.
Layering it over a purple made it look more warm and red toned, it was very pretty, and I intend on trying it again and layering over a dark blue base, hoping it will bring other beautiful colors in it.
I've seen so many swatches of this polish layered over different colors, and always looking fabulous, so I think you can't go wrong with this beauty.

Even though this looked fabulous on it's own, I decided to add some royal themed decals to this design. I applied a few nail stickers I received from Born Pretty Store for a review; I used the gold crown and the tiny curved studs from this sticker sheet
Unlike the water decals I've been using lately, these are actually stickers, they have a bit of dimension (not completely flat) and some glue applied to the back. I just pulled these from the sticker sheet with a small pin (you can use a delicate twizer as well) and applied to the nail. Application was easy, and you if you misplaced it you can correct it by pulling it up gently and place again.
At first I was afraid to apply a top coat, I thought it might ruin the design, so the first the photos below are without a top coat, and you can see a bit of the sticker border on the nails. Then I decided to apply the top coat anyway, and I was surprised that it looked much better and made the borders of the sticker quite invisible. It also helped to smooth the surface, so I was happy to know a top coat works really great with these decals (I used my regular Poshe top coat).
You can get these decals at the Born Pretty Shop at this link, it's a very large sheet with various decals designs. You can also use this code to get 10% discount on your entire purchase at the store: PNL91
The final look was really gorgeous, but again, getting it right on camera was really hard, so that's why the photos are looking so different. Then I also had a problem with taking a photo that will show the stickers well in sunlight because they reflected the sun, but when I took the photos in the shade it didn't show the actual color, so that was a bit of a hassle. The good thing is that I got to enjoy them in real life with no problems at all :)
