I decided to keep the swatch I did on the previous post for Maisie Shine Wonderland and added white snowflakes to create this magical wintery look. I've been wanting to do this in a while, actually it's the main reason why I wanted the Bundle Monster 2012 set, so I just had to add this stamp to this lovely polish.

I started with two coats of Essence Sure Azure, then applied one coat of Maisie Shine Wonderland. I used the BM323 plate for the snowflakes and stamped them with Essence white stampy polish. I topped it all with one coat of Seche Vite.

I just love the final look, it's so delicate and pretty, I think it's one of my favorite manis I've done lately. I really feel like I have winter at my fingertips :)

Today I'm going to show you some swatches of Maisie Shine polishes.

First is Wonderland, a gorgeous glitter polish with clear base. It contains blue periwinkle sparkle in addition to iridescent and white glitters. I layered it over Essence Sure Azure which is a frosty light blue. This combination created a gorgeous wintery look which I just adore!

I only needed one coat of this fabulous Wonderland polish to achieve this look. The glitters are very dense but I still needed to "fish" for the big white glitters. Application was easy and nice, and it wasn't bumpy as most glitter polishes are, but still I applied one coat of Seche Vite to give it extra shine.

I really loved this polish and it became one of my favorite glitter polishes in my collection.

Nice was the second polish I received for review. It's a gorgeous green with green glitters and a teal flash. You can't actually see this in the photos but the glitters have holo sparkle in the light and it's just so fun to look at. This green in a perfect shade for Christmas and even though I'm not a huge fan of greens, this color is actually pretty and refreshing.

Application wise it was a bit difficult for me to spread it evenly because the polish itself  was quite thick and with the glitters it was even thicker so the second coat was a bit tricky. I think I would prefer this one a bit more sheer so I can apply this over a similar color or see how it will look over black base. I think that way the glitters can show more and they can get that sparkly effect in the light instead of being covered by the polish. To top this all I applied one coat of Seche Vite.

Overall I like this polish and the color is great for the holidays. I can definitely can see myself use it to create a Christmas themed mani with some white or silver stamping.

For this mani I used Essie Skirting The Issue as a base and applied two coats (STI is a jelly in a gorgeous deep burgundy color), then applied one coat of Orly Space Cadet and stamped with Barry M Gold Foil from the Bundle Monster BM314 plate.

Orly Space Cadet is a very interesting color, and I absolutely love how it looks in the bottle, but I was a bit disappointed when I applied it as is on the nails. It has a greenish jelly base with gold and red tiny glass flecks, but I didn't really liked how it looked by itself. I needed 3-4 generous coats to get it opaque (and I still saw the nail underneath) and the color was too greenish for me, so I thought to layer it over a burgundy color and that's when I fell in love with it! I really like how it looks combined with this color and the flecks effect is gorgeous. It came out nice and pretty close to how it looks in the bottle, so that was a success for me. :)

It was a bit hard to get this beauty on camera, and I found that the flecks looked better in the shade and you can actually see how they change their color across the nail from green to gold and to red-pink. I like how this mani came out and it looks nice on the long nails (which I was planning to cut shorter) and the colors actually reminded me of a warm winter apple cinnamon cider...

Finally, this beauty is mine! I've craved for the gorgeous polish for so long, and now I get to enjoy it. I received the fabulous Orly Miss Conduct in a swap I did with a lovely lady from the US (Thank you Lynda!). She was kind enough to send me this polish along with some other beauties which I will show later on the blog. Orly Miss Conduct is a part of the Naughty or Nice 2012 holiday collection.

Orly Miss Conduct is a beautiful dark fuchsia with scattered holo effect. The color is so deep and rich, and it's simply breathtaking. The formula was great and was easy to apply. I used two coats for the photos, and even with one coat it looked pretty nice and had a good coverage.

I applied Poshe top coat just to protect it and keep it for longer. It was so beautiful that I decided to leave it as is, but I might add stamping or something else on top of it in the next few days.

What can I say? I'm in love!

I decided to try water marbling again after a long time. I did my first water marbling almost half a year ago, and I thought I did well, but I actually sucked at it lol, I just didn't know that then. It was just when I started to be interested in nail polish, while having less than 10 bottles of dry nail polish in my collection. I'm so ashamed of this haha

Actually it's pretty amazing how fast my collection grew (over 200 now) and my skills and techniques have improved. I would have posted my first lame water marbling but I'm too ashamed of it...

To be honest - I didn't do lots of water marbling, I think this is my fourth try with this on both hands.

I just found it pretty much frustrating and time consuming, and most of the times the result wasn't worth it. I thought to give this another try after watching some tutorials that refreshed my memory and gave me some tips (check out My Simple Little Pleasures and her awesome water marbling tutorials, they include simple instructions and tips for a great results).

I thought to make it a bit different so I started with an ombre base, and then added the water marbling on top. For the base I used one coat of GADE Marshmallow, then used a sponge to create the omber - I used 3 colors: light pink, hot pink and purple. The colors are GADE Marshmallow, GADE Fashion Fuchsia and GADE Purple Empire.

For the water marble I used Catherine Arley 805 which is a black holo, and GADE Luxe Nude which is a light milky color. I wanted the ombre to show underneath the water marble so I picked this semi transparent color, and it did a pretty good job. You can a transparent polish instead to create this affect. I think it's an awesome idea and an nice twist to the water marbling effect, so thank you to who ever came up with this first ;)

It didn't turn out as I imagined it, but hey - I'll take that! Much better than my previous attempts. It looks pretty nice, even though it's not symmetric as I wished it would be and it had some bubbles (which were popped once I applied my Poshe top coat). I think the design on my other hand came out nicer but I didn't take pictures of it since it was late and dark when I did the mani on this hand (yeah I do this sometimes lol).

When I was imagining the design in my head, I was planning to add a glittery top coat, as I did with my James Bond mani, but then I decided that the holo glitter of Catherine Arley 805 was pretty enough.

Today's mani is inspired by the amazing Lime Crime bottle and the lovely color I got from Jenna Froggy in my mystery nail polish bag. I've been in love with these pretty bottles with the gorgeous unicorn logo from the first moment I saw them around the blogosphere, and I never thought I will actually own one, so I was super excited when I got this beauty.

Inside this pretty bottle you can see this delicate ivory color, which described on their site as "cream off-white french tip nail polish". I really love this color, it's not like anything I have in my collection and it's so soft and unique.

I instantly knew that my design is going to include an unicorn stamp from my Nailz Craze plate, and it didn't took me long to come up with this idea of the golden unicorn in ivory skies.

I started with two coats of Lime Crime Milky Way, that applied two coats of Nubar 2010 which is a lovely flakie with clear base and color changing flakes. Then I stamped with Barry M Gold Foil using the Nailz Craze NC02 plate - I used the swirly clouds and the unicorn stamp. I sealed it off with my favorite quick dry top coat - Poshe.

It was really hard to catch the beauty of this design and mainly the glass flakes that are so beautiful in the sunlight and in the shade, especially when the sun didn't come out when I needed it (I actually took photos of this mani 3 times in two days, in different times of the day) but I think you can still see in this photos how lovely it came out. 

I think that my favorite photo has to be the one before last, where it looks like the unicorns' mane if on fire which is quite pretty and magical.

Today's mani is inspired by James Bond Skyfall movie, and I actually would like to dedicate this to Walkways - my boyfriend's band, who just released their Skyfall cover music video a few days ago.

Last week I was on the set with the band, shooting this awesome video which is now live on YouTube, and I have to say it was a unique and fun experience which I was really happy to take part of. We got up before the sun rise, and headed for the location where the shooting was taking place. I have never done something like this and didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. Eventually we got some awesome shoots, and the band worked on the video with some awesome guys that made it all happen, and the result was awesome! Walkways cover for Adele's song Skyfall turned out to be a great success, and I can say I'm very proud to be a part of it :)

For this mani I used few known elements from James Bond which are the 007 logo with the gun, gold, black and white colors, and a wavy stamp.
I started with two coats of white polish (Chic White Flag), then stamped with the wavy stamp from Nailz Craze NC02 plate using Wet n Wild Black Creme, and applied a top coat with small holographic glitters (GK 734A). When finished, I applied Poshe top coat.
For the ring finger I used two coats of Skinfood Mocha Gold, and then added the 007 logo. I prepared the logo sticker ahead, using the diy foil method - I applied transparent polish on a plastic bag, let it dry, and then I drew the logo with a permanent pen. At first I tried using black polish and a pin but the result wasn't perfect and really difficult. Then I realized I can use a pen instead, and it worked! The only thing is that a top coat smudges and completely ruins it so I skipped that part.

I had some trouble taking the pictures because the sun won't come out, but eventually I got some nice photos that show the holo effect of the glitters, and I was surprised to see that even in the shade the glitters were pretty and you can see a little glittery rainbow (two last photos).
I think this mani turned out to be pretty nice and it's a decent James Bond Skyfall mani ;)

Today I felt like wearing the good old sparkly red - China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I think it's my all time favorite polish! I love a good red and this one sparkles like crazy! It has a gorgeous depth and it's just a great polish from every aspect. I added the golden flames to create a fire-like look but for some reason it makes me think of a circus :) I love this mani and I'm pretty pleased right now, and I find myself staring at my nails a lot lol.

I used two coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps and applied one coat of Poshe. Then I stamped with Barry M Gold Foil using Cheeky CH52 plate - I only used half of the design to create this look. To finish it all I added another coat of Poshe (Ruby Pumps can be a but dull without a proper top coat, so I felt like applying to coats, one before stamping and once after).

When I took the photos, I couldn't decide which ones I liked better - the ones in direct sunlight or in the shade. In direct sunlight the color is bright and strong, as in the shade the beautiful glitter shows better but the picture itself is a bit dull. So I decided to put both of the shots I took so you could help me to decide what's prettier :)
